Write Off/Salvage Inspection

What IS a write-off/salvage inspection?

A salvage inspection is done on a vehicle that has been declared as a write-off (i.e.: the cost to fix the damage is more than the vehicle is worth), but has now been repaired and is potentially safe and eligible to be considered road-worthy.

Here are the steps to follow.

PLEASE NOTE: Once your out-of-province inspection is completed you only have 14 calendar days the bring the green inspection form back to a registry office to have the vehicle certification entered into the system. This must be done whether the vehicle is being registered or not.
